About Samena Parbin

CURRENTLY IN MY FINAL YEAR STUDYING MEDIA AND COMMUNICATION AT BIRMINGHAM CITY UNIVERSITY

Whilst studying I have also been involved in a variety of different professionals, thus I’ve had many different experiences that have built me into the skilled worker I am today. Now, I’m looking for new challenges and hope to venture even further down my chosen career path.
I have a variety of transferable skills predominately my communication skills as a result this skill will help me in the future. My future career plan is to work for well known television companies such as BBC, ITV or Sky. As well as, organising events for well known companies as this is something that I am intrigued in doing.
Overall, I am interested in working within the Media industry as a result Media is part of your daily basis routine as you will use it everyday for example, when reading the news. The media brings news to the mass audience without the media we would potentially not know what is going on in the world

NOVEMBER 2017- DECEMBER 2017

The Gadget Show is a British television series which focuses on consumer technology. The show is broadcast on Channel 5 and is currently presented by Craig Charles, Ortis Deley, Jon Bentley and Georgie Barrat.
This was an amazing opportunity I was able to see behind the scenes for this show and how it actually works.
The role that I was in charge of was sound assistant this revolved around tasks such as micing up the presenter’s or any guests. It also involved setting up equipment an hour or two before the show and we had to ensure that the sound was perfect throughout the show.
